What’s the difference between term life and accidental death insurance?

Term life insurance policies cover policyholders for most causes of death, including the causes covered by accidental death policies. Accidental death insurance is more limited and focuses only on fatalities resulting from accidental bodily injury as defined in the customer’s policy.

In addition to difference of coverage, accidental death coverage generally has lower premiums than term life and is issued in 1 year increments.
